Abstract and Paper Submission

Full papers submitted to IAMSTEM will be peer-reviewed for publication in conference proceeding of a publisher.

All accepted and presented papers will be published in conference proceeding of a publisher and will be submitted for indexing in Scopus and Web of Science (CPCI).

1. Peer Review Process

The organizing committee of IAMSTEM is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity and quality. All submitted papers undergo a rigorous, transparent, and objective peer-review process prior to acceptance for publication in the conference proceeding of a publisher.

To ensure efficient management, transparency, and full double-blind integrity, the entire peer-reviewing process for this conference is managed using the Microsoft Conference Management Toolkit (CMT).

Review Workflow:

1. Submission & Desk Evaluation via Microsoft CMT:
   • Authors submit their manuscripts directly through the Microsoft CMT platform.
   • Editors perform an initial screening to verify scope relevance, formatting adherence, and English language quality.
   • Every submission undergoes a mandatory plagiarism screening (e.g., Turnitin). Papers with excessive similarity will be rejected immediately.
2. Double-Blind Peer Review:
   • All peer-reviewing activities are conducted within the Microsoft CMT system, which enforces strict double-blind anonymity. The identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed.
   • Through Microsoft CMT, each paper is assigned to a minimum of two (2) independent expert reviewers in the relevant field based on topic matching and conflict-of-interest checks.
3. Evaluation Criteria: Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:
   • Originality and novelty of the research
   • Scientific rigor and methodology
   • Clarity, structure, and language quality
   • Relevance to STEM education and related fields
   • Ethical compliance in research conduct
4. Editorial Decision & Author Notification: Based on reviewer reports submitted via Microsoft CMT, the Editors make one of the following decisions:
   • Accept without revisions
   • Accept with minor revisions
   • Major revisions required (subject to re-evaluation)
   • Reject

Official decision notifications and reviewer feedback are communicated to authors directly through the Microsoft CMT platform.

1. Revision and Final Approval:
   • Authors receiving revision requests must upload their revised manuscript and point-by-point response letter via Microsoft CMT.
   • The final publication decision rests with the Chief Editors and the publisher.

2. Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

IAMSTEM follows strict ethical standards in academic publishing and adheres to the principles guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Authorship & Originality

• Original Work: Authors must ensure that submitted papers are entirely original and have not been published or submitted elsewhere concurrently.
• Plagiarism: Any form of plagiarism—including text copying, self-plagiarism, or paraphrasing without proper attribution—is strictly prohibited.
• Authorship Attribution: All listed authors must have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the research. “Ghost” or “Gift” authorship is not permitted.

2. Use of Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence)

• AI tools (such as ChatGPT or Large Language Models) cannot be listed as an author or co-author.
• If AI tools were used in writing, data analysis, or graphics generation, authors must explicitly disclose their use in the Acknowledgments or Methods section of the paper.

3. Conflicts of Interest

• Authors must declare any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their work.

4. Research Ethics & Human Subjects

• Research involving human subjects must comply with relevant institutional and national ethical guidelines and include statement of informed consent where applicable.

5. Corrections & Retractions

• If significant errors or inaccuracies are discovered post-publication, authors are obligated to notify the editors immediately to issue a correction, addendum, or retraction notice in coordination with a publisher.
